Rosalia Vila Tobella[2] (born 25 September 1992),[3popularly referred to as Rosalia (Spanish: [rosa'li.a], Catalan: [ruz@'li. @]),[4][5][6She is a Spanish singer. Born and raised on the suburbs of Barcelona The singer was described as an "atypical pop-star" due to her genre-bending musical styles. Her passion for music was ignited by Spanish folk music at 13 years old. She studied musicology at Catalonia College of Music and was also a wedding singer. Reimagining flamenco, mixing it with pop and hip hop music, the album produced the hit singles "Malamente" as well as "Pienso en tu Mira" that attracted the attention of the Spanish general public, and were released to a wide reviews. El Mal Querer, who was honored with the Latin Grammy Award as Album of the Year and is listed in Rolling stone's 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time, started Rosalia's rise into the world music scene. Rosalia was a pioneer of urban music in her 2019 albums "Con Altura", and "Yo Ti Tu x Mi", had global success. With her third album Motomami (2022) she introduced reggaeton to the world with a fresh approach, deviating slightly from the original flamenco sound. With hits like "La Fama", "Saoko", the album received a clout around the world and was the highest reviewed album on Metacritic. Rosalia has had ten number one singles in her native country in her entire career. This is the highest number she's ever had local artists. Rosalia has received 11 Latin Grammy Awards, two Grammy Awards, four MTV Video Music Awards, four MTV Europe Music Awards and three UK Music Video Awards, and two Premio Ruido Awards. In the year 2019, Billboard gave her the Rising Star Award for "changing the sound of today's mainstream music by introducing a fresh, flamenco-influenced pop",[18and she was the first Latino-singing group in history to be nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammys Rosalia was born on 25 September 1992 in Sant Cugat del Valles and raised in Sant Esteve Sesrovires,[20][21][22] Baix Llobregat, Catalonia. Rosalia is the eldest of four children to Pilar Tobella, an entrepreneur who runs a small metalworks company. Her father, Jose Manuel Vila, was born in Cudillero, Asturias. They parted in 2019. The older sister Pilar Vila ("born 1989") is her stylist and creative mind. Rosalia discovered her love for performing arts when she was a young person in particular after she was introduced to the discography of Camaron de la Isla. In the Taller de Musics, she started her musical training. She completed a 6-year program in the academy. She started her studies at the Raval school, and then transferred to the Superior School of Music of Catalonia. Additionally, she performed independently as a singer at weddings, bars with music and other functions. She was offered "a barely over 80 euros or in exchange for dinner".
